A Celebration of Carolyn’s Life will b held on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, in Revival Church, 450 West Todd Street, Hamden at 11am. Viewing in Church from 9-11am.

Carolyn Ann Keaton, of New Haven CT, departed this life and entered into eternal rest on May 10th, 2024. Carolyn was born on May 8th, 1946, in the state of Florida. She was the daughter of the late Robert Keaton of Hartford, CT and Ruth Dupoint Keaton of Quincy, Florida. Carolyn attended Wilbur Cross High School and graduated in 1965. She had multiple jobs until she began her professional career at the United States Postal Service, where she later retired after working 33 years. In 2003 she received a liver transplant after only being on the donor list for TWO WEEKS. She is a survivor of three different cancers, she is a true testimony. Carolyn enjoyed many things. Some of her favorite things were talking on the phone with her friends and family, getting her nails done shopping. She was always ordering out them catalogs, cooking, baking, reading, loving on her grandkids and sending out special cards. She never missed someone’s birthday, anniversary or achievement. Carolyn was the nicest person you could ever meet, always smiling, laughing and being in a good spirit always turned lemons into a pound cake. Carolyn was a devoted loving mother of Wanda Mundy of New Haven CT, Yvette Mundy of Snellville GA, and Akira Keaton of New Haven CT. The grandmother of Ricky of Meriden CT, Antwan of New Haven CT, Bobby of Snellville GA,  Tre’vaughn of New Haven CT, Erica of Snellville, GA Desmond of New Haven CT, Pariss of Snellville GA, Deniya of New Haven CT, great grandson Elijah of New Haven CT, and a great granddaughter Nariah of Norwalk CT. She leaves behind a Step mother Lorraine Keaton of South Windsor CT, sister Melvina Keaton of Hartford CT, and Two nephews. She leaves to cherish FIVE BEAUTIFUL BEST FRIENDS/SISTERS Cheryl Timmons Opesso of Windsor CT, Roberta Gates of New Haven CT, Deloris Stewart of Fredericksburg VA, Donna Lowery of West Haven CT, and a Special Cousin Dena Woods of Hebron CT, Two God daughters Taniqua Winns of GA and Tamika Ledbetter Hicks of Hamden CT. A Long Time Special friend James Lowery of New Haven CT. She leaves behind a host loving great relatives and friends… she will miss you as much as you will miss her.

Your words have comforted us, your support has strengthened us, and your love has sustained us. We extend our deepest thanks to you for your kindness during our GREATEST sadness. We appreciate it more than words can express and it will always be remembered.
