Cassine Marquel Dingle Sr.

Cassine Marquel Dingle Sr. departed this earthly home and took his eternal rest on September 13, 2023.  Cassine who was affectionately known as “CS” was born on March 27, 1976, in New Haven, CT to the late Bernetta S. Lamar and Lawrence “Larry” Rambert.

Cassine grew up in the Hill section of New Haven where he was educated in the New Haven Public school system and obtained his GED in 2006.  As of recent, he was employed at the Community Partners in Action, Hamden Regions as a Youth Mentor.   He was previously employed at the Columbus House in New Haven serving the homeless population.  Cassine had many skills like cutting hair, working on cars and doing handy work.

He loved sports from a young age including boxing, basketball and football and was a die-hard Pittsburg Steelers fan.  He had a competitive nature and losing was not an option, especially at the card table.

He was a family man who played a father figure to many of his relatives and friends building a close personal bond with those he loved.   As a leader in his family, he made sure he was present at family functions, loved spending time with the kids and making people laugh.  He was a protector, a provider and his relationship with God was very important to him.

Cassine was a beloved legend in his community, and he lived life on his own terms.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, and the memory of his life will live on.

Cassine leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Kenisha Wright-Dingle; sons, Cassine Dingle Jr. and Nassine Dingle of New Haven CT; siblings; Alexis Dingle, Desiree Lamar-Emenyonu (Nnamdi), Senetra Lamar, Tamikia Burruss, Ebony Rambert, Tawana Rambert, Chyra Archer and Lanaia Mcrea, all of New Haven, CT,  Tonnisha Lamar, of North Carolina and Latasha Williams (Melvin) of Stratford, CT., brother Jorden Rambert of New Haven; 3 grandchildren Cassidee Dingle, Cateleya Dingle and Cash Dingle, 3 Godchildren, Erica Toney, Khaili Dingle-King and Amil Sowell of New Haven, CT, Aunts Colleena Hicks, Tonda Spell and Phoenix Rumley and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles and his beloved dog Milo.

Cassine was predeceased by his maternal grandmother Dorothy Lamar-Dingle, paternal grandmother Ernestine Rambert, paternal grandfather Columbus Ray Wilkins, grandfather in love Theoplis A. Wright Sr., Uncle Roosevelt Dingle Jr., Brothers, Lawrence “Larry” Atkins, Tyree Mcrea, and Michael Earl Burruss Jr., and Cousin Edward Dingle.  Shortly following his death was the death of his Great Grandmother, the family matriarch, Irene Lamar of Atlanta.

Cassine will forever hold a special place in the hearts of his loved ones.
