A Celebration of Chasity’s on Monday February 12, 2024 in Ebenezer Chapel, 50 Dwight Street, New Haven, Connecticut at 11am. Viewing in Church from 10am-11am. Burial will follow at Beaverdale Memorial Park.

Chasity L. Payton, passed away suddenly on January 31st, 2024 at the age of 47 in New Haven, CT. She was born on January 3rd, 1977 to Eddie Stokes and the late Diane Payton.

Chasity graduated from Eli Whitney Technical High School in 1995 where she studied Drafting/Graphic Designs. After several years of working in that field, she transitioned into the healthcare network. Chasity continued to work in this field for many years as she loved helping people in need. She was family oriented and a protector of the ones she loved. Chasity especially loved visiting her family in North Carolina and was planning to move there in the future. Cooking was her go to and loved seeing the smiles on everyone’s faces as they enjoyed her food. Creating new dishes was her specialty. Chasity was very vocal and did not shy away from storytelling causing people to fall to the ground laughing. She was all about entertainment, family and joy. Chasity lived her life to the fullest with no regret.

Chasity is survived by her son Jayrell Hyman; daughter, Bianca Payton; father, Eddie Stokes; 2 sisters, Tashinma Payton and Keisha Stokes; 2 brothers Zeno (Tara) Payton and Densuh Council; nephew Zeno Payton Jr.; 4 nieces, Zenye Payton, Tyra Leake, Destiny Leake and Skye Council and a host of relatives and friends who loved her dearly.
