A Celebration of Cynthia’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at 11am., in Colonial Funerals, 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden. Viewing in Colonial from 10am-11am. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

On October 18th, the Angels of God whispered: “Cynthia, come now and take rest.”

Cynthia Maxine Jowers was born on June 2, 1963 in Mobile, Alabama to the late Catherine and Leno Jowers. Cynthia moved with her family to New Haven, CT at a very young age. She attended public schools in New Haven which included graduating from Wilbur Cross High School.

Cynthia was affectionally known and loved by her friends and family. She had a great love for her community, and everyone greeted her by name. Cynthia was so giving that she would often cook and feed the homeless of the neighborhood.

Cynthia was a loving person and showed love to everyone she connected with.

Cynthia leaves to cherish her memories: her daughter; Ebony Nicole Jowers, her sons; Terrance James (wife/Lateefah) Jowers, Michael Jermaine Jowers Sr. and Terrell Jowers; her grandchildren, Devon Jarvis, Qualyn Hough, Tiera Jones, Michael Jowers Jr. and Teriq Berry.

Her Sisters; Brenda (husband/David) Pearson, Linda Jowers and Felicia (husband/Jamison) Jones.

Her Aunts; Verdell Parker-Hugger and Deloris Staggers-Hooks; A special nephew Renard (wife/Natasha) Jowers; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Cynthia was predeceased by her parents and sister Patricia Rena Jowers.
