Doreen (Kittle) Davis, 61, of New Haven, CT, passed away on August 5, 2022. Doreen was born in Westchester, Connecticut on October 12, 1960; the daughter of the late Elmer Kittle of Torrington, CT and Kathleen Brennan of Norfolk, CT. Doreen grew up in New Haven, CT with her sisters and adopted Mother, Marion Dawson. She graduated (1978) from Richard C. Lee High School in New Haven, CT.

Doreen spent many years in her early career working at Retail Stores and Restaurants throughout New Haven County. She never attended school for cooking, but she was the best cook in the entire family and was a partner of BD&J Catering at The Marion House over the past few years. Affectionately known as “Aunt Doreen.” Doreen loved caring for her family and clients throughout Connecticut. She worked hard at being the best caregiver she could be. Over the last several years she worked as a PCA for Griswold and Allied Health.

Doreen loved to laugh, travel, have fun, dance and enjoy the simple things in life. Family meant everything to her, and she made each person she spent time with feel special.

The family would like to acknowledge Quincy Davis (former husband of 21 years) and Mr. William Penn who loved and cared for Doreen unconditionally during the time together. Also, Doreen’s lifelong friends Donald Connor and her Best Friend Celeste Hill. Doreen leaves siblings to cherish her memory; Doreen leaves to cherish her memory; 7 brothers, Glenn (Teresa) Kittle, Alan Kittle, Stephen (Cindy) Brennan, Jay Blackwell, Billy Kittle, Ronnie (Janet) Kittle and Jason (Kim) Kittle. Eight sisters Gloria Willett and Barbara Dawson, Jean (Douglas) Cannon, Stacey (Tommy) Brennan, Tracey and Jamie Kittle, Kimberly (Gregory) Tournour, Corrine (Eileen) Frost, one God Son Gregory Hill and one grand-daughter (by marriage) Teasia Small.

Over Thirty nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends. Doreen was predeceased by her father Elmer Kittle and beloved Mother Marion Dawson, her sister-in-law Tina Kittle, her two brothers in laws Jesse Willett Sr. and Richard Dawson. Doreen Kittle was a bright, beautiful person, truly unforgettable and loved by many.

A celebration of Dorren’s life will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at Colonial Funerals, 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden, CT at 11am. Viewing in Colonial from 10-11am.
