Eva Mae Robinson

A private Celebration of Eva’s life will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Zion Baptist Church 137 Pearl Street, Waterbury  at 11am. Walk thru for friends and family from 10am-11am. James R. Mrs. Eva Mae Robinson, 99 of 58 Beech Street, Waterbury, CT passed away on Wednesday March 17th, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Eva Mae Robinson was born December 1st, 1921 in Charlotte, NC, the daughter of the late Hayward McCree and Annie Bell Davis-Crowder McCree.

She was educated through Waterbury public school system, and later returned back to North Carolina where she met her loving husband, and they decided to return back to Waterbury, CT in 1945, where she resided until her passing.   She worked for many years at Uniroyal, as an assembly line worker until her retirement.  After her retirement, Eva Mae decided to enter back into the workforce as a home health aide.  This was truly her passion, as she enjoyed socializing and helping those in need. Eva Mae was a lifelong member of Zion Baptist Church.  She absolutely loved the Lord and fellowshipping with her church family, attending weekly up until she was no longer able to.  She loved her family and spending time with them in addition too, sewing, traveling, gardening, dancing, cooking, and cookouts so all the grandchildren could gather, in addition to her favorite past time of playing cards.  She was a beloved fan of the Women’s UCONN basketball team and the New York Knicks.  Mother, Daughter, Grandmother, Aunt, and Friend,   she was truly a family woman and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Eva Mae Robinson was predeceased by her loving husband Edward L, Robinson Sr. as well as a son in-law James Owens, two grandchildren, and one great grandchild, Eva Mae leaves to mourn her passing, three daughters,

EddieMae (Leon) Johnson,  Annie L. (GHEE) Owens,  of Waterbury, CT.  Mary “Fruitty” (Rudolph) Windsor of Chester PA. and one son Edward L. (Skip) Robinson Jr of Milwaukee WI, as well as eleven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
