James Demeal Harris Jr., fondly known as “LJ and Jizz”, was born in New Haven, CT on May 15, 1998, to James D. Harris Sr. and the late Jackielean Harris.  On November 10, 2021, James departed this life in Cheshire, CT.

James received his formal education in the public schools of Hamden, CT graduating in 2018.  Preceding his death, he was employed at both Popeyes and Restaurant Depot.

There were many wonderful aspects to James’ life, and many ways that he touched our lives. He will be remembered as a wonderful son and grandson, a loving brother, a great friend, a generous uncle, nephew, cousin, and a friendly face in town. In all these ways and more, he made our lives richer and fuller. He had a playful and loving  spirit and nothing will ever dim his light because he shined from within.

James leaves to cherish many fond memories: his father James D. Harris Sr. of Livingston, AL; his grandparents Rosetta Reddish and Harry Reddish of New Haven, CT;  his siblings Bridny Harris of Tuscaloosa, AL and Felicia Harris, Damien McClary, Robert Moye III and Xavier Moye of New Haven, CT.; his nieces Ayonna Winn of Tuscaloosa, AL and Alayah Moye of Derby, CT, and nephew Jayden Moye of Derby, CT; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, godson and friends.

James was preceded by his mother, Jackielean Harris, grandparents Charlie Bynum, James “Bubba” Hill, James Harris Sr., Mary Morris and Theresa Harris.
