Mr. Johnnie (Junior) Brown entered eternal peace on Tuesday May 18,
2021. Mr. Brown was born in New Haven, Connecticut on October 30,
1979 to Johnnie Jackson and the late Alma Brown.
He graduated from James Hillhouse High school and was employed
by Wallingford Recycling Center.
Johnnie affectionately known to friends as J5 or simply John Brown Jr
was known for his love of music. Junior was always the life of the
party, wanting everyone to have a good time no matter the occasion
Junior loved the latest fashion and was adamant about his footwear.
He would say “If your sneakers were off the outfit was too!” Junior’s
calm demeanor and contagious smile allowed him to make everyone
around him smile and view each day as a breeze. Juniors meek,
gentle, and forgiving spirit was a wonderful part of his character,
which will truly be missed.
Junior leaves to cherish his loving memory: his father Johnnie
Jackson (Mary); his children, Jay’Viona Brown and Johnnie Brown Jr,
sisters; Francis Thomas, Evelyn Jackson, Dionne Lavarin, all of
Neptune, New Jersey, Dannetta Wiggins and Anne Leggett of New
Haven, CT. Brother Lindsey Suggs. of Cassett, SC. His nieces;
Candyce John, Alissa Leggett, Deja Leggett and nephews, Anthony
Leggett, and Toddy Leggett all from New Haven, CT. A special friend
