Kent Russell Foster, DOB 7/25/1947, Bronx, New York, NY

Parents – Lester C. Foster, Yvonne Renee Cordoze Foster

Education – Elementary School PS21 in the Bronx, Olinville Junior High in the Bronx, Gompers High School in the Bronx.

He began his walk with Christ at an early age. He served as an acolyte at All Souls Church in Manhattan.

Even though he believed in the Lord, some of his actions were questionable – for example he followed in his Father’s footsteps with the love of automobiles but he could be found behind the wheel of one before he was old enough to get a driver’s license and of course he believed in coconspirators – ask his brother and his aunt. We know it was the grace of God that kept him safe, ’cause he had a few accidents with his Father’s cars.

After leaving High School he enlisted into the US Air Force where he volunteered for Paratrooper Jump School at Fort Benning, GA. Upon leaving the service his interest varied and he decided to become an entrepreneur. While life’s journey carried him through several fields, his last being the field of security. His opportunities had him traveling across the United States, searching for and guarding various individuals. This vocation was so intense that after 9/11 he found himself in lower Manhattan.

His interests were many – each season he belonged to at least two bowling leagues; his cars – as stated before he followed in his Father’s footsteps. He kept them immaculate. If you were allowed to eat in them, one could eat off the floor; travelling – every year he would be on a cruise or in a casino. Music and movies were other passions in his life. But most of all spending time with his family and friends was the pinnacle.

He departed this life 4/16/2021

He was preceded in death by his Father Lester, mother Yvonne and sister Kelley R. Foster

He is survived by his beloved partner, Angie Ford of Naugatuck, CT, Angie’s sister Connie Pope, Kent’s buddy, of Naugatuck, CT, daughters Jeanine, Kelley of CT, Yvelle & Deidre of NY, son Kent Jr, brother Kevin Foster (Veree) of Highland Mills, NY, Kim Foster of Atlantic City, NJ, aunt Leslie Zenj’ Ra (Jasim) of Manchester, NJ, Grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
