Born on February 9th, 1972, in New Haven, CT, daughter of Harold and Georgette Peters. Khadijah Saleema Peters entered eternal life on November 22nd, 2021 at the age of 49. She leaves behind 3 younger siblings, Naomi Peters Legget, Khalif H. Peters, and Khalil A. Peters. She is survived by her lifetime partner Andrew Robinson and their two beautiful children Deven Andrew Robinson (16) and Sadea Ann Robinson (13). Khadijah was not only a loving mother, sister, and daughter. She is also a beloved aunt, cousin, niece, and friend.
Her life was truly amazing, she lived in New Haven all her life where she attended Conte West Hills and went on to graduate from Career Highschool in 1990. Khadijah studied phlebotomy at Stone Academy in 1993, she became a member of the Yale-New Haven Physicians Corporation which led her to an externship with Hill Health Center from 1992 to 1993. She then took her talents to Quest Diagnostics from 1999 as a phlebotomist until overcome by illness. She was often requested by her patients who said she had “the hands of an angel” making the procedure entirely painless. Khadijah was very joyous, strong, and brilliant. She would love to watch Jeopardy and the wheel of fortune and figure out the answers before the contestant could even hit the buzzer. She enjoyed watching scary movies, She was also an avid animal lover, growing up she and her siblings had a mini zoo inside their home.
Khadijah had a warrior spirit, with a sweet heart. She fought hard in a battle with her health, however, that did not stop her from being happy and raising two children, and being there for her family, she never complained no matter what. Her smile and laughter were enough to fill the room with love, joy, and excitement. She remained to keep us all happy and refused to let us see her struggle. She never forgot a birthday and always supported and loved her family and friends so now we celebrate 49 years of her life. This kind, sympathetic-natured young lady with natural goodwill to others will be greatly missed. The family would like to give special thanks to her caregivers during her time of need.
