Larry Paul Riggsbee

A Celebration of Larry’s life will be held on Monday August 17, 2020 in Good Shepherd Holiness Church, 27 West Read Street, New Haven at 11am. Viewing in Church from 9-11am. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.

Larry Paul Riggsbee was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on December 28th, 1957 to the late Paul Riggsbee and Lillie Pue but was raised by Joseph S. Harris from the age of 1. Larry traded time for eternity on Wednesday, August 5th, 2020 at Yale New Haven Hospital.  Larry attended James Hillhouse High School in New Haven, CT.  Larry worked several jobs up until 2000. Larry sincerely expressed his love and compassion, by often utilizing his witty personality and comical orientation. He was always the life of the party at any social gathering of family and friends. Larry’s presence was always consistent at family get-togethers. Larry enjoyed watching wrestling, taking road trips, and listening to old school jams. Larry had a very special place in his heart for his babygirl, La’Elle. Larry was predeceased by his paternal and maternal grandparents, his father Paul Riggsbee, Step Father Joseph S. Harris, Uncles; Major, Lindberg, and Joe Pue, Aunt Carrie Marshall, and life partner, Nadine Powell. Larry leaves to cherish his memory; daughter La’Elle Riggsbee of Seymour, CT, mother Lillie (Rosevelt) Muhammad of Douglasville, GA, brother Josephus Riggsbee of East Haven, CT, sister Veronica Pue-Gallmon of Douglasville, GA, brother Marquette Riggsbee of Douglasville, GA and one niece, Brittani Santos of Norwich, CT.  Honorable mention: Diane Pue (Goddaughter), Mr + Mrs. Kevin Boone Sr. (Best Friend), Arthur Evans (Best Friend), family pet, Bella, and a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins.
