Marquel D. Lewis

February 1, 1977 - June 7, 2024

Burial Date: June 21, 2024

A Homegoing Service will be held for Marquel on Friday June 21, 2024.  Calling hour will be from 10am-11am and the Service scheduled to begin at 11 am at New Antioch Greater Impact Church.  65 Burban Drive, Branford, CT. His final resting place will be at Hamden Plains Cemetery immediately following the Service.  A Repass will be held after the burial back at Antioch Greater Impact Church.

Marquel D. Lewis, 47 died suddenly at Yale New Haven Hospital.  Mark was born in New Haven, CT on February 1, 1977.  He was the son of the late Adrienne “Mikki” Williams and the late George Lewis.  He graduated from Wilbur Cross High School in New Haven and was employed as a Driver by MAD Logistics.  Marquel loved music, movies, and Football.  He was a Diehard Steelers fan.  Marquel prided himself in finding the good in people.  He was loved and respected by ALL.  He was indeed a man of integrity.

Marquel is survived by his Daughter, Markeia Lewis of Meriden, CT, Marquel is also survived by His Brother Romir J. King of New Haven, CT.  His Sisters Tierra Mobley-King of New Haven, CT, Tonya King- Douglas of Columbia, Maryland, Tomiko Grant of Waterbury, CT, and his Girlfriend of 6 years Darshell Peters of West Haven, CT.   Marquel also leaves a Host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins to mourn his passing.  He was predeceased by his Aunt Deborah J. King and his Grandparents Eloise Williams and Joseph L. Harrison.
