Michael S. Milan passed away on January 5, 2022. He was born on May 10, 1958 in Bayonne, New Jersey to Michael J. Milan and Kazimiera Jaworski. Mike was the loving father of Michael J. Milan of California, and Jonathan Milan of Georgia. He was the longtime companion and caregiver of Mary Ellen Orsini, and cherished brother of Elizabeth Olsen of New Jersey. Mike is also survived by his former wife, Elizabeth Nonnemacher.

Mike was known to friends and family as an incredible host, with a bright sense of humor and unparalleled kindness. Mike was a loving father of two sons, Michael and Jonathan, and a compassionate partner and caregiver. He spent the last two years giving loving care to his longtime partner, Mary Ellen. He enjoyed living the last decade on the shore of Plymouth Lake, CT, and traveled throughout the years with Mary Ellen to destinations around the globe.

Mike built a tight-knit team, like family, and a nationwide network of lifelong friends at Motorola and throughout decades in the security industry.

Mike’s joy and love are evident – always smiling in the mountains of photo albums he created for each occasion. Friends and family would often receive photos and videos of meals cooked, vacations taken, and moments enjoyed. Mike reveled in hosting friends and family at the lake for every occasion, from birthdays and holidays, to sunny days and snow days.

Mike delighted you with jovial conversation over the best wine and bourbon, sharing his love of everything from racehorses to the SF 49ers, cooking, gardening, photography and nature.

Mike’s warmth and laughter will be remembered and greatly missed.
