Roberto Hommy Diaz III, 47, of Waterbury gained his wings on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Waterbury hospital after a courageous fight.
Hommy was born on October 13, 1974 Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Son of Alba Cortes and the late Roberto Diaz Jr. He came to Waterbury at the age of six. He attended Waterbury Schools Graduating from adult ED. He attended Naugatuck valley. At the time of his passing he was a customer service representative at NUCCI brothers pool supplies in Bridgeport in part caregiver to his mom.
Hommy had many interests at different times of his life but one thing that remain the same if you were his friend you became family. He enjoyed fantasy football, music, TV and spending time with his family especially his mom. He also loved his scratch tickets. He loved hosting getting together‘s for special sports events. He was a big fan of the New York Giants and the New York Mets. He enjoyed watching games on TV or the stadium itself. He love spending time with his other “brother” Sammy Alice’s and family. Helping in their catering business and just hanging out with them. He was a House Comitee Officer of the Elk 265 and enjoy playing cards with his fellow Elk and friend Tony.
Hommy leave to cherish his memories His loving mom Alba. Two sisters Ana(Travis) Trotman, Yesenia(Jose) Galindo-Diaz, one brother Jose “Paco” Diaz, four nieces Melody Jusino, TeAris Trotman, Corin Trotman of Waterbury, Cristina (DA’Ron), Howard from Indiana. One special nephew Santana Galindo, a host of uncles, aunts, and many bonus families and friends. Special families Roman Brown Trotman. A special thank you to the nurses, social worker and staff of Waterbury hospital ICU. Hommy was predeceased by his father Roberto Diaz Jr. and his dog Biggie.
