A Celebration of Shannell’s life will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 in Trinity Temple Church of God in Christ, 285 Dixwell, Avenue, Connecticut at 11am. Viewing in the Church from 10am-11am. Burial will follow at Centerville Cemetery Cemetery in Hamden

Shannell Natalie Rudolph, age 46, of Hamden, CT, a cherished daughter, mother, sister, and friend, passed away on February 26, 2024 at Yale New Haven Hospital.

Born on August 1, 1977, in Harlem, New York, to Deborah A. Sumpter and the late Nathaniel W. Rudolph, Shannell was a devoted healthcare professional who dedicated numerous years to caring for others during their most vulnerable moments. A true nurturer, she went above and beyond the call of duty, treating her patients with unparalleled respect and dignity.

Shannell’s impact transcended her professional life. With confidence, adventure, and persuasion, her magnetic personality brought people together, forging unbreakable bonds and creating unforgettable moments. She was an exceptional caregiver and a woman of profound influence, impacting everyone fortunate enough to cross her path.

To know Shannell was to love her; her joy and triumphs inspired all blessed to share in them.

She is survived by her loving mother, Deborah Sumpter, and leaves a legacy of love through her beloved children, Briyana Rudolph and Ernest (Timmy) Harold.

Shannell is remembered by her brother Jarrod Rudolph Sr. and his wife Maida Rudolph, her nephew Jarrod Rudolph Jr., her brother Abdul Prosser, her nephew Vaughn Tillery, and other nieces and nephews.

She is loved by her grandmother Pearl Brown. Her aunts Beverly Alvarez and her husband Jose, Joanne Moody and her husband David, Glynis (Nesee) White, and Amy Jenkins.

Additionally, she is survived by her stepmother, Vallise Rudolph, stepfather Andy Johnston, stepsister Krista Chadwell, stepbrother Davonte Black-Johnston, and her father figure, Kenny Parler.

Shannell is now reunited with her father, Nathaniel Rudolph, in eternal peace. She will be dearly missed by all touched by her warmth, kindness, and love.

May Shannell rest in eternal peace, and may her legacy shine brightly through the memories and love she shared with her family and friends.
