Stacy Ann Hanks, 65 of Milford, CT passed away November 2, 2021 in the comfort of her daughter’s arms.
She was born to the late Charlotte Drew on February 2, 1956.  She married at 15 to William George Hanks, Jr and was widowed June of 2012.
Stacy was predeceased by her son William George Hanks, III this year on May 30, 2021. She is survived by her daughter Billie Jo Anderson, Grandchildren Alexander Anderson, Justin Anderson, Charlotte Hanks, and Aiden Hanks, her sister Angela Petro, her son and law Alex Anderson and loving friends from childhood, marriage and her day to day.
Stacy was an accomplished bird bander for the Milford Audubon Society, a study skin preparer for Ornithology at the New Haven Audubon Society and a compassionate elderly care companion.  She received her High School Diploma in her 30’s and received her 6-year sobriety coin this year after loosing her son.
Stacy was most known for her pride in her daughter and her family.  She was also well known by all as a fighter, someone who would tell you how it is, her devotion to her pets and that she had this uncanny ability to fix things in a pinch.  She is remembered by many as Lady MacGyver.
While her passing is a shock to us all, may we find comfort in that she is no longer hurting and find peace in that she has reunited with her Son, her Husband, and Mother that she had lost too soon.
Please reflect on Stacy’s memory with pride for her as she has given us the most extraordinary example of strength and courage even in her final days.
