A Celebration of Yvonne’s Life will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022 in Colonial Funerals, 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden at 11am. Viewing will be held in Colonial from 10-11am.
Yvonne T. Henley, daughter of Rosa Elena Santiago and Robert Henley, was born on December 11, 1957 in Brooklyn, NY. She was raised in Connecticut. She attended New Haven Private & Public School. She worked various jobs throughout the state of CT as a PCA. Everyone knew Yvonne as “Vee”, she was the life of every party, she looked cooking & taking care of her plants. Yvonne will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her stepmother Evelyn McBean of West Haven, CT, her five children: Tyrice, Leroy, Yvonne “Kia” Henley of New Haven, Ct, also Tammell Mills of New York, NY, and Rashaun Henley of Georgia, one Daughter In Law Eboni Henley of New Haven, CT. Sisters: Geneive Gelpy, Gladys Pagan, Eva Medina all of New York, NY and Renee Smith of West Haven, CT Brothers: Darryn Smith of West Haven, Ct, she also leaves to cherish her memory: 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other relatives and friends, she also leaves a special friend April Gaston.
She was predeceased by her parents Rosa Santiago and Robert Henley, her brother Steven Smith and Troy Smith.
