Donald Carter, was born in Warm Springs, Georgia on October 3, 1962 to the late George and Rose (Mobley) Carter. He departed this life on Sunday, June 12, 2022. He leaves to mourn his loving wife and best friend, Felicia Carter, with whom he was united in holy matrimony on December 15, 1984 while stationed in Ft. Belvoir, Virginia during their service in the United States Army. Donald served with the U.S. Army Corp. of Engineers for 6 years.
Most important than any friendship, Donald loved and valued his family. He leaves to cherish his two sons, Darnell Gudger (Detroit, Michigan), Cory Carter (Hamden, Connecticut), and one daughter, Whitney Carter (Hamden, Connecticut). His sisters, Cynthia Smith, Tina Carter-Rainey (Joe), Sandy Major (Andra), Charlene Carter (Kipp). His grandchildren, Cori, Cayden, Cayla, Tyla and grand dog, Bobo. He also leaves to mourn a host of nieces, nephews and godchildren. He is predeceased by a sister, Mary Jean Averyette and grandson, Cayleb Carter. Donald touched the lives of so many, and was a special blessing to all who knew him. Words will never express how much he will be missed.
