Ivan Foskey Sr.

Ivan Foskey Sr, 55, transitioned after a long illness at Yale New Haven Hospital September 10, 2022. He was born on March 7, 1967 in New Haven, Connecticut.

The loving son of Brenda Foskey-Hill and the step-son of Dan Hill Sr. He leaves. 3 sisters, Theresa Morant, Marjorie Foskey and Soni Foskey, to cherish his memory. Preceded in death by his grandfather, Deacon Jerry Foskey Sr. and his grandmother Marjorie B. Foskey.

Ivan graduated from the Job Corp and was an entrepreneur for many years after retiring from Sleepy’s in Hamden, Ct. Ivan loved working on cars, loved sports, listening to music, telling jokes and he took pride in his appearance.

He also leaves to cherish his memory and to carry on his legacy his loving children Vaughn, Ashley, Brian, Ivanna, Ivory, Ivan, Ivan Jr., Shawn, Jayden and 7 grandchildren. He was preceded by one granddaughter and a dear friend Nicole Rizzo.

Ivan also leaves to mourn his loving Godmother Patricia King of Philadelphia, Pa.

A celebration of Ivan’s life will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022. Viewing will be held from 11:00am to 12:00pm and the service will begin at 12:00 Noon at Colonial Funerals, 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden, CT 06514. Condolences may be expressed at Colonialfunerals.com.
