Diane Beathea was born June 21, 1953 in Durham, NC, to the Parents of Sam & Nancy Bethea. As a teen, the family relocated to New Haven, CT. Where Diane graduated from Richard C. Lee High School, and began a family of her own. Diane received her Associates in Business Administration from Stone School of Business. She worked as a Counselor for Howe Operations overseeing residents in an assisted living facility. Diane worked as a telemarketer for Key Communications, She has worked as an Outreach Worker for Belcare Community Programs that provided assistance to those released from jail. She also worked with The Newhallville Community Center as an Outreach Worker, working with the children in the communitv. Diane’s favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren and being surrounded by family and friends. Diane was also an avid book reader. She had a book collection all her own. Diane was always engrossed in a book, always reading. Diane is known for giving you her last, “BUT DON’T GET IT TWISTED”, She also made sure you stayed in your own lane. Diane enjoyed and lived her life to the fullest! Diane Bethea what is predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Samuel Bethea, Sr. And Francis Bullock-Bethea. Maternal grandparents, Matilda, and Preston Leggett. She was predeceased by her parents, Samuel Bethea, Jr. and Nancy Leggett-Bethea. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Robert Earl Bethea, Hattie Bethea-Melton, Serena Bethea-Walker, Stanley Bethea, and Samuel Bethea. Diane is survived by her remaining siblings, Janette Bethea-Young and Andre’ Bethea Diane is survived by her children , Jacqueline (Anthony) Johnson, LaTronya Bethea, Shandrika (Lyntria) Jackson, Marissa (Tyrese) Phillips, Mansa Bethea and Special niece/daughter, Anne Leggett, along with 14 grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
